Grab promo codes
$5 off one ride with Citi credit card and code GRABCYBR
From 7 to 9 August, you can get $5 off your Grab ride with the code GRABCYBR.
Take note of the following:
- The reward is valid for the first 300 redemptions
- Offer is valid for rides within Singapore and for all rides except for GrabHitch and GrabShuttle
The other Grab promo - SG53 for GrabFood
Grab has also started dishing out promo codes for its other services such as GrabFood.
Look at it this way - instead of taking a Grab to the food, Grab the food to where you are at a cheaper cost.
Cheaper, as in free food delivery with no minimum spend required.
The magic word? SG53
Some things to note:
- The code only applies to Local Favourites category
- Valid from 6 to 12 August
Get more savings with the right credit cards
Using a credit card is all about future spending. And savings too. Because if you are going to spend quite a bit on Uber or Grab rides, that same amount can help you accumulate either rebates or air miles, depending on which you prefer.
So if you're in the market to find the perfect card for your Grab rides, Bear has that neatly sorted out for you in our comprehensive credit card comparison.
Meanwhile, Standard Chartered users are in for a treat. And by that, we mean ANY user who has a Standard Chartered credit card. You get up to 15% cashback (up to $30 per month) if you charge your Grab rides to a Standard Chartered card.
Some caveats to know - you need to have a minimum spend of $900 to qualify for this promo.
Bonus: cab promo codes
Riding-hailing apps, though convenient, come with a huge caveat - surge pricing. Given that surge pricing can hit almost 3x more than normal, no user in their right mind would pay for that. Well, except for those who are really desperate.
But really, don't stick to a Grab ride if it's going to cost you $50 to get home from Orchard to Tampines. That's just throwing money down the drain.
The best option at this point is to either join the taxi queue for a metered fare or use the ComfortDelGro app to call for a metered cab.
Yes, metered cab. Believe or not, there are now more promo codes available on te ComfortDelGro app.
