The Kitchen Table

The Kitchen Table has live cooking stations, serving up a variety of Asian cuisines. There’s the perennial local favourites like chilli crab, laksa, and hokkien mee – but you’ll also find Indian tandoori dishes, traditional Chinese dim sum, and sashimi. There’s also the occasional western dish, such as pasta.

The Kitchen Table gets a little noisy though, so it’s probably not the best place for business. Go there when food is the real focus.

The Courtyard

The Courtyard

The Courtyard at The Fullerton Hotel is split into the north and south end. The north courtyard (11.30 am to 11.30 pm) serves a Japanese buffet, while the south courtyard (11.30 am to 2.30 pm) serves a weekday Indian curry buffet.

You can expect the usual favourites from each end – offerings like masala dosa and tandoori from the south end, and the usual sushi and sashimi from the north. Drinks like tea and coffee (and also lassi for the Indian buffet lunch) are free flow.

Because of the quiet ambience, this would be a good place for business meetings, not just dining.

Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant

Located at Furama Riverfront Singapore, this restaurant is actually one of the oldest halal buffet places (it started in 1985). As you’d expect from the name, the buffet is focused on Indonesian – mainly Balinese – cuisine.

Classics like beef rendang, mango salad, grilled fish and satay make up the main highlights; all available with nasi kuning (yellow rice).

As Indonesian food should be, it’s spicy so take note if you have guests who aren’t used to it. For everyone else, this is an established restaurant that hasn’t let its customers down in decades.

Also at Furama Riverfront Singapore, this buffet is often described as East + West.

But it’s actually got a strongly Singaporean bent – from black pepper beef to chilli crab with mantou, you’ll find plenty of familiar local flavours.

This is paired with some western dishes, such as grilled duck breast with peach salsa, and carved pork belly. And, of course, a ton of seafood (sushi and sashimi included).

Atrium Restaurant

If you've seen one buffet, you've seen them all. That's not exactly true if you've been to Atrium Restaurant.

Though its buffet spread is the usual fare of international and local cuisine, one has to appreciate the thought they've put into preparing dishes such as the chilli crayfish and oven-baked ribeye.

Like most buffet, you'll get your money's worth if you focus your attention on the seafood selection. So don't be surprised if you end up with a plate of prawn and scallop shells, among many other food available for you to choose from.

There aren't many halal-certified buffet restaurants around. But if you do find one like Tiffany Cafe & Restaurant, hold onto it for dear life because it's a rare sight.

On top of that, Tiffany Cafe & Restaurant's 1-for-1 buffet has a good mix of local flavours and international cuisine.

To satisfy your sweet tooth, try the durian pengat. It is an acquired test but for those who live by durians, this is a must-try dessert before you end your lunch or dinner at the restaurant.

This is a buffet spread with a clearly Japanese bent, although you may find the occasional European dish (there’s a “daily delight”, that changes to keep the buffet new).

Seafood choices range from oysters to Alaskan crab, with a sashimi buffet that includes yellowtail, tuna, salmon, and all the usual favourites.

Besides that, there’s live teppanyaki cooking, and fusion dished like mentaiko spaghetti. A particular highlight is the free flow of foie gras, that they have every Monday.
