What Privileges Does the HSBC Credit Card Offer?

HSBC offer credit cards feature that suit the varying needs of cardholders. The privileges are listed below:  


Shopping and Grocery Privileges

The HSBC Signature gives cardholders 8x Rewards points for every foreign currency spent on overseas, online purchases and 5x Reward Points for every shopping and online local purchases and 1 Reward point for all other shopping expenses. 

The HSBC Platinum rewards its cardholders with 8x Reward Points at Mid Valley Megamall and the Gardens Mall and 5% Reward Points at other participating malls and 1 Reward Point for other purchases. 

The HSBC Premier World provides a similar reward system to the HSBC Platinum, rewarding 8x Reward Points when cardholders spend at Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall.

The HSBC Advance Platinum gives users 3x Reward Points when users spend online, standing instructions or auto-billing. This card also offers 1x Reward Points on all other retail purchases. 


Travel Privileges

The HSBC Amanah Premier World-i provides unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi through Boingo. With a minimum purchase of RM2500 on plane tickets, cardholders can enjoy a complimentary ride at home or abroad. 

The HSBC Premier World offers gives cardholders 10x Rewards Points on overseas hotel room and dining spend, 5x Reward Points on airline ticket purchases, room and dining spend at local hotels and more than 30 other participating malls nationwide. 


Petrol Privileges

The HSBC Amanah MPower Platinum-i attaches up to 8% cashback every day on petrol at Shell, Caltex, and Petronas. Users can also enjoy 8% cashback on groceries every day and 0.2%cashback in other categories. 


Dining and Entertainment Privileges

Through the HSBC Premier World credit card, cardholders can enjoy 5x Reward Points on dining spend at local hotels. 


Cash Back Privileges

Holders of the HSBC Amanah MPower-i earn 0.2% cashback on all retail transactions at more than 6500 shopping outlets nationwide.

  • Required documents for a salaried employee from Multinational/Public Listed Companies/Government/Semi-Government Office:
    • Photocopy of MyKad (both sides)
    • Recent utility bill (If the address on MyKad is different from your residential address)
    • Latest month salary slip or confirmation from an employer or Latest income tax return or Form EA or EPF statement 


Required documents for a salaried employee from other companies:

  • Photocopy of MyKad (both sides)
  • Recent utility bill (If the address on MyKad is different from your residential address)
  • Latest month salary slip or bank statement showing 3 months’ salary credit
  • Latest income tax return (Form BE with a tax receipt) or Form EA or EPF statement


Required documents for self-employed:

  • Copy of MyKad (both sides) 
  • Recent utility bill (If address on MyKad is different from your residential address)
  • Photocopy of Business Registration Form (established minimum of 2 years)
  • Latest income tax return (Form B with payment receipts or CPO2 attached or EPF statement or Latest 6 months bank statements


Required documents for salaried expatriate:

  • Copy of Passport (must be valid for at least one year)
  • Latest month salary slip
  • Letter of confirmation from employer stating position, remuneration, and duration of employment
  • Minimum RM10k per month and working for Multinational/Public listed companies/government/semi-government/HSBC corporate lending employers only
